Inverness Golf Club Dress Code
Inverness Golf Club’s Dress Code is designed to enhance the overall Club experience for all our members, families, and guests, while reflecting and preserving our standard of excellence, Club culture and traditions. 
Members are fully responsible for informing their guests of the Dress Code and acceptable attire. In addition, parents have the responsibility to provide clear guidance to their children and ensure that they are adhering to the Dress Code. The Dress Code will always apply unless specifically modified for a Club event.

CLUBHOUSE & DINING
Highlands Bar, Highlands Family Dining, Terrace, Wi-Fi Room/Lounge, Wine Room 
Generally based on good taste and neatness. For men, a collared shirt tucked in is required unless such shirt has a straight, flat cut bottom or short length bottom designed to be worn untucked. Turtleneck and quarter-zip sweaters are acceptable. Slacks, knee length shorts, appropriate jeans and denim clothing are allowed for both men and women. Jeans or denim clothing must be in overall good and tasteful condition: no tears, frayed, tattered, paint splattered, or oversized jeans or denim clothing will be considered acceptable. Appropriate women’s attire includes dresses, slacks, medium-length skirts and shorts, golf shirts/blouses and golf outerwear. Golf shirts may be sleeveless shirts with a collar or collarless shirts with sleeves. Racquet attire only allowed with appropriate pullover or quarter zip when entering indoor dining. Children’s attire follows the same guidelines as men’s and women.
Golf caps/visors are to be worn always facing forward. Men and women must remove golf caps/visors inside the clubhouse, while seated.
Not permitted at any time in the Clubhouse: tank tops, midriff shirts, t-shirts, cargo shorts/pants, cuttoffs, jean shorts, spandex shorts, running shorts, short shorts, warm-up suits/exercise attire, sweatshirts/hoodies of any kind, swimming attire, or flip flops.

FORMAL DINING
McIntosh and Main Dining Room
For men, appropriate attire includes dress slacks, dress shorts, collared shirts tucked in, and appropriate footwear. Jackets are recommended, but not required. Women’s attire should be consistent with acceptable standards and in good taste including dresses, slacks, medium-length skirts and dress shorts, and blouses. Golf attire is not permissible. Expectations for children’s attire should follow the same guidelines as for men and women.
No caps/visors or denim are allowed, unless specifically modified for a Club event.
Not permitted at any time: tank tops, midriff shirts/dresses, t-shirts, cargo shorts/pants, cuttoffs, jean shorts, running shorts, short shorts, warm-up suits/exercise attire, sweatshirts/hoodies of any kind, racquet attire, swimming attire, flip flops, athletic footwear.

PATIO
Area to include fire pits, patio dining, and adirondack chairs
Generally based on good taste and neatness. For men, a collared shirt tucked in is required unless such shirt has a straight, flat cut bottom or short length bottom designed to be worn untucked. Turtleneck and quarter-zip sweaters are acceptable. Slacks, knee length shorts, appropriate jeans and denim clothing are allowed for both men and women. Jeans or denim clothing must be in overall good and tasteful condition: no tears, frayed, tattered, stone washed, paint splattered, or oversized jeans or denim clothing will be considered acceptable. Appropriate women’s attire includes dresses, slacks, medium-length skirts and shorts, golf shirts/blouses and golf outerwear. Golf shirts may be sleeveless shirts with a collar or collarless shirts with sleeves. Racquet attire allowed until 5:00pm. After 5:00pm racquet attire permitted with appropriate pullover or quarter zip. Children’s attire follows the same guidelines as men and women.

GOLF ATTIRE
Proper attire on our golf course, practice range, and all putting greens is expected to conform in style to the following:
Men’s proper attire includes a collared golf shirt or mock turtleneck with sleeves. Sweaters, pullovers, “golf” hoodies, jackets, slacks, golf shorts which are similar in style to walking and/or Bermuda shorts of an appropriate and tasteful length. Shirts must be always tucked in on the golf course. Baseball style caps are to be worn facing forward.
Women’s proper attire should be consistent with accepted standards and good taste. Dresses, slacks medium-length skirts and shorts, golf shirts/blouses and golf outerwear are appropriate. Golf shirts may be sleeveless shirts with collars or collarless shirts with sleeves for women.
Not permitted at any time: tank tops, midriff shirts/dresses, t-shirts, cargo shorts/pants, cuttoffs, jean shorts, running shorts, short shorts, spandex shorts, warm-up suits/exercise attire, sweatshirts/hoodies of any kind, racquet attire, swimming attire, flip flops, jogging shoes.

CENTRE COURT
Centre Court offers a more casual dining experience for IGC membership.
Men’s proper attire includes warm-up suits, tennis shorts, collar-less athletic shirts, or athletic sweatshirts.
Women’s proper attire includes warm-up suits, tennis shorts, tennis skirts or dresses, racer-back tennis shirts or blouses, collar-less athletic shirts, or athletic sweatshirts.
Appropriate cover-up is always to be worn over swimwear.
Shoes Required. No wet bathing suits.
Not permitted at any time: midriff shirts/dresses, sports bras, cargo shorts/pants, cuttoffs, jean shorts, spandex shorts, short shorts.

RACQUETS: TENNIS, PADDLE & PICKLE
Proper seasonal tennis attire is required for all members and guests. Racquet/court footwear are the only appropriate shoes allowed on all courts. No casual tennis shoes, running shoes, training shoes or shoes with black soles allowed. This is for your safety and the safety of others. 
Men’s proper attire includes warm-up suits, tennis shorts, collar-less athletic shirts, or athletic sweatshirts.
Women’s proper attire includes warm-up suits, tennis shorts, tennis skirts or dresses, racer-back tennis shirts or blouses, collar-less athletic shirts, or athletic sweatshirts.
Not permitted at any time: denim on courts, midriff shirts/dresses, sports bras, cargo shorts/pants, cuttoffs, jean shorts, short shorts, swimming attire or flip flops.

POOL
Appropriate attire must be worn in and around the pool and Centre Court dining areas. Discretion should be used when selecting swimming and sunbathing attire. (thong-style swimwear will not be permitted) When outside the pool in pool dining areas, an appropriate cover-up (non-see-through) is to be worn over swimwear. Proper footwear is required. Golf caps/visors should be worn with bills facing forward. Swim attire is never appropriate for the Clubhouse, Patio Dining or at the Firepits. Swimwear with appropriate cover-up and footwear is required when using men’s and women’s locker rooms. Absolutely no denim or denim shorts at the pool.
